Only accredited massage therapy schools will be able to supply you with what you need to become nationally certified. Since most of the states all require the same national certification, the best thing that you can do is make sure your school will allow you to become certified when your graduate. The only requirement for writing the national certification tests is to have graduated from an accredited massage therapy school. Once you have graduated and written the certification test, you will be certified in all states that recognize those tests. However, if you do decide to move states for your career you will have re apply for certification in the new state but you will not be required to rewrite the test. The only exception is the few states that do not follow these certification guidelines. If you wish to practice in one of these states, you will have to follow any process that they have in place for certification.
